Anne Gale used to operate a pornography website, Anne34DD.com. In 2004, Gale shut down her website. Anne Gale then operated a child day care service from 2005.

Anne Gale, with her partner, Joe Gale, had succeeded in obtaining a childcare provider license after the Minnesota state authorities did detailed checks into their background. There are no moral clauses in licensing guidelines. Anne Gale’s past with her web pornography website did not constitute grounds for denial for a child care provide licence.

Rachel Voight left her two children with Anne Gale and Joe Gale with the intentionof letting the Gale could adopt them. Voight claimed that was before she knew Anne Gale had operated a porn website. Voight filed a lawsuit against the Gales to claim the Gales were unfit to raise children because of their past dealing with pornography.

Anne Gale and Joe Gale responded with a “smear” lawsuit to return the mud slings. The Gales claimed Voight abandoned her children with them since she was unable to care for them. Joe Gale and Anne Gale claimed Voight forged checks and smoked marijuana.

Voight and Gale’s lawsuits were to fight for the custody of Voight’s children. The judge has not made a decision on who should get the custody of Voight’s children.
