Updated June 26 – Angelica Castillo and her boyfriend, Timothy Tkachik, 24, have been detained in police custody. A girl’s body has been found in a rural part of Indiana. The coroner is working to confirm the identity of the body but police strongly believe the body belongs to Jada Justice. Angelica Castillo and Timothy Tkachik have refused to cooperate with police. Both are likely to be charged with murder.

Angelica Castillo, 18, was supposed to be babysitting her cousin, Jada Justice, 2 years old, when Justice disappeared in Gary. Castillo claimed Justice went missing from her car while she was in a store buying milk. Police dogs failed to pick up the scent of Justice in the car or at the supposed store.

Customers inside the store said Castillo’s car was empty when it was parked outside the store. Jada Justice’s mother was going on a trip out of town with her boyfriend and left her daughter with Castillo.

Angelica Castillo was detained by police as a person of interest.
