Andrew Lloyd Webber has prostate cancer. Webber’s spokesman has confirmed the news. Webber has early stage prostate cancer.

Webber is getting treatment now and away from work. Webber will be expected back before December 31, 2009. Webber’s publicity firm is Brown Lloyd James and they said no other details will be released.

Webber, 61, is one of the 35,000 men who get prostate cancer in the UK yearly. Out of the 35000, 10,000 men may die of prostate cancer.
