Amy Winehouse was charged with assault. Winehouse surrendered herself Thursday, March 5, at the police station. Sheren Flash, a dancer, claimed Winehouse assaulted her in her eye after she asked Winehouse’s permission to take her picture.

Sheren Flash had approached Winehouse last year on September 26, 2008. Winehouse was charged and then released. Amy Winehouse (photo inclusive at link) is expected to attend court hearings on March 17.
