By Therese Lisieux on November 14th, 2008

Amy Taylor, 28, and her husband, David Pollard, 40, are divorcing because of Second Life, an online game. Amy Taylor caught her husband David Pollard, online e-snuggling with a female avatar lover in Second Life.

Second Life plays by having a user create an avatar, who then lives in the virtual world and does all the things the real life person does. It is a second life which has the freedom of doing anything desired. Amy Taylor spoke to Sky News and said that she caught her husband’s avatar cuddling a woman on a sofa in the game. Taylor said she asked Pollard to show his online chart history. Pollard switched off his monitor and computer to delete his online activity. Taylor and Pollard could not resolve their differences and started their divorce proceedings. Taylor and Pollard were married in 2005. Soon after their honeymoon, Taylor caught her husband having sex with a prostitute in Second Life. The couple mended after that exposure but after this second “infidelity”, Taylor asked for a divorce.

Amy Taylor and David Pollard and would be finally divorced next week.
