Amy Dupont has filed a restraining order against Zach Brown, her co-host. Dupont and Brown are co-hosts of Channel 19, of WXOW. Dupont received nasty emails from a name that was a registered sex offender. However, the owner of the IP address that sent the email was Zach Brown.

On June 23, the court met to hear Amy Dupont’s request for a restraining order on Zach Brown.

Dupont has been getting emails that contained negative remarks about her and her public work on air. The emails followed her and seemed harassing.

Zach Brown claimed he did not send the said emails to Dupont but his room mate, Jonathan Edwards, did. Edwards testified he emailed Dupont and signed off with the name “Mario”. Edwards claimed his emails were constructive criticism. Zach Brown was aware of the emails but he did nothing.

Zach Brown has been fired by WXOW.

Dupont was granted her restraining order which lasts 5 years. Zach Brown must stay at least 100 feet away from Amy Dupont, her home and her child.
