Amanda Jencsik, an actress, has sued John Patrick Shanley, a screenplay writer. Jencsik claimed Shanley was vioelnt during their sexual relationship. Jencsik said she was strangled with a belt, suffocated and abused. Jencsik alleged that Shanley took delight in her physical sufferings.
Mr Shanley is an award winning screenplay writer. Ms Jencsik is an actress in indie films.
