Alfonso Israel De Leon, 34, of San Rafael, Calif., was driving when he threw a young boy out of his car. De Leon then crashed his car into a guard rail. The news reported this on Sunday, Dec. 21. The boy, 2, was treated at Thomason Hospital. The boy will survive.

Alfonso De Leon was driving through El Paso, en route to California when he threw out the boy. There was also a girl, aged 4, inside the vehicle. Police refused to reveal the relationship of De Leon to the children.

Alfonso De Leon was arrested and sent to the El Paso County Jail on Sun., Dec. 21. De Leon has a bond of $100,000. The law enforcement officers could not tell if Alfonso De Leon had secured an attorney.
