Alexis Barry, Robert De Niro’s ex nanny, has filed a lawsuit against the actor. Barry has sued De Niro for more than $40,000 in what she claimed as overtime pay.

Barry claimed she was owed 750 hours of overtime. Barry wants compensation for 10 days of vacation which she never used. Barry said she started working for De Niro and his wife, Grace Hightower in August 2006.

Barry was fired after 10 months. Barry claimed she was fired after she told her bosses she was quitting. During her employment, Barry had worked as a nanny for De Niro’s son, 11 years old.

Barry has filed her lawsuit in Manhattan’s Supreme Court. De Niro’s spokesman refused to comment as he claimed he had not seen the lawsuit.
