Alexander McQueen made use of feathers in several dress designs. He was not the first to use feathers in a wedding dress. However, the Alexander McQueen bridal feather dress drew controversy after someone pointed it out. Michael Kors alleged that Alexander McQueen’s feather wedding dress resembled the wedding dress in Project Runway’s show. One designer may have drawn inspiration from another designer but that is common. Feathers in fashion have been around in ages.

Alexander McQueen had a model named Abbey Lee Kershaw, 19, who fainted after she completed her catwalk on the runway. Abbey Lee Kershaw was revived backstage.
