Alexander Lazaroff: Lazaroff retired amidst probe
By Clarencia Cynrae on October 17th, 2008*
Alexander Lazaroff has announced his retirement after 37 years working in the US Postal Service’s Inspection Service. Alexander Lazaroff had been questioned by ABC News about his travel expenditure and gambling habit.
Lazaroff made no mention of these issues. Lazaroff did not tell what some people already knew; that he was being investigated and probed by the Postal Service’s Inspector General, for his travel expenses. Senator Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) received complaints from inspectors of the Postal Service. The Inspector General was then initiated to launch the investigation. Lazaroff’s departure from service has no influence on the on-going investigation.
