Alberto Carvhallo, the new superintendent of Miami-Dade schools, is accused of having a past affair with Tania deLuzuriaga. Tania deLuzuriaga was writing as a education reporter for The Herald but now, deLuzuriaga works for Boston Globe.

Alberto Carvhallo, 44, is a married man. Alberto Carvhallo defended himself by saying the string of emails that were pointed out as evidence were doctored. Carvhallo said the allegation of an affair between him and deLuzuriaga was false. The Herald broke the story on its former reporter, deLuzuriaga. The Herald could have obtained the emails when deLuzuriaga used the office network to send out her emails. Every internal network in the office system keeps logs and tabs on the emails, and many things the worker does from the office computer.
