Al Davis fired Lane Kiffin. Al Davis, 79, said Monte Kiffin wanted to leave Tampa Bay Buccaneers to coach under his son with the Oakland Raiders. Al Davis omitted talking about his disagreements about player selections. Lane Kiffin disagreed with Al Davis that JeMarcus Russell should be chosen as the team’s draft pick. Al Davs said Monte Kiffin wanted to work with him (Davis).
