Ajit Pandey, 20, who acted in Slumdog Millionaire as a gangster, was arrested in Mumbai. Ajit Pandey allegedly tried to extort money and film roles. Ajit Pandey threatened producers by pretending to be a gangster named Irfan Husri, an associate of Chhota Shakeel.

If the producer could not give a role and job to Ajit Pandey, “Irfan Husri” would demand Rs 20 Lakh from him. Failing to satisfy both terms would mean a death threat for the producer.

Police suspected Ajit Pandey was behind the scheme as the supposed gangster was only asking for favors for Pandey.
