Adam Yauch, of the band Beastie Boys, announced he has cancer. Yauch made a video message for the Beastie Boys website to relay the bad news. The Beastie Boys has canceled their shows and delayed the release of their new album.

Yauch said his doctors found cancer in his parotid gland and lymph node. Yauch told he first discovered something was wrong when he felt a lump in his throat. Yauch tried to present his message in a jovial, joking mood. He apologized for canceling Beastie Boys’ shows.
