Updated – Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, 24, of Little Rock, is a Muslim convert. Muhammad was formerly known as Carlos Bledsoe. Carlos Bledsoe changed his name when he converted to Islam.

Muhammad was charged with first degree murder and 15 other charges on terrorism. Muhammad had 3 guns in his SUV. Muhammad could have had religious and political motives for specifically targeting the Army.

William Long, a volunteer Army recruiter, was killed when Muhammad fired at him.

Another wounded soldier was Pvt Quinton Ezeagwula, 18, of Jacksonville. Ezeagwula has survived the shooting and is expected to make a recovery.

Updated – William Long, of Conway, Arkansas, was the Army recruiter who was shot dead. Police have not released more names. It is known that the suspect had political and religious motives for his attack.

Was somebody angry at the Army recruiters? One Army recruiter was fatally shot at in Little Rock, Arkansas. Another recruiter was wounded by gunfire. The suspect was a black male in a black SUV.

On Monday morning, June 1, the suspect drove up to the recruitment office and fired his assault rifle several times. The recruiters were in Little Rock to work in their home area. The motive for the shooting has not been established.

The suspect fled in his SUV but was stopped shortly on Interstate 630. He was detained. Names will be released later. Police had a search warrant on a home in the Bristol Park apartments on Mara Lynn.
