17 pregnant classmates in high school pregnancy pact

Classmates who were not pregnant were disappointed and returned for pregnancy tests in the school clinic at later dates. So far, 8 girls under 16 are suspected to belong to this high school pregnancy pact.
The girls in the high school pregnancy pact were not fussy about their fathers of their babies. One father was said to be a homeless man, aged 34.Teachers and parents blamed Juno and Knocked Up for the sudden rise of pregnancies. These movies glamorized pregnancy.
The high school in Cape Ann, New England has 17 pregnant classmates and they were suspected to be in a high school pregnancy pact. In 2008, 17 was 4 times more than in 2007.
Joseph Sullivan, the Gloucester High School headmaster, said more girls asked to take the pregnancy tests and they were disappointed if they were not pregnant. School superintendent, Christopher Farmer, said that families were broken and the children grew up without direction. This was the cause for the modern phenomena of the pregnant classmates in high school pregnancy pact.
One classmate commented on the girls in the high school pregnancy pact. She said that no one has offered them a better option to do with their lives.
